about our classes

I love what I do, and it would be too selfish not to share. Each week I spend a little time sharing this experience with others in the form of classes. Pottery classes are a great stress reliever, have a wonderful sense of community and are an excellent creative outlet for those who are serious about their hobbies.

I teach two separate classes for adults. A morning session from 10am - 1pm and an evening session from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Both are held on Wednesday but students have access to the studio all week. Each class involves a pottery demonstration to give students some direction and exposure to new forms and techniques. Students are not restricted to what is demonstrated and are free to pursue their own projects. I will help with whatever you want to work on through out class time.

Each class session runs for 8 weeks in a row with one week off before the next class session starts. Students are given the basic tools, 44 pounds of clay and have access to glazes. Each 8 week session costs $375, and this covers everything you will need for the class. All firing costs are covered, and there are no additional fees.

Classes are taught on the first floor of the Bostree Studio, located at 54 Wood Road, Sugar Loaf, NY. Our studio is fully equiped with a throwing wheel for every person, Giffin Grips, a slab roller, plaster wedging blocks and plenty of work space (26 x 32 ft.). Classes are small, 7 students max, so you get a lot of individual attention and we all get to be friends.

If you think you are interested feel free to send me an email at SonOfAPotter@GMail.com . I look forward to hearing from you!
